EU Film Fest: Feast of Foreign Flicks in Chicago

Want a heads up on movies that could be contenders for next year’s best foreign language film Oscar?

im-all-goodCheck out the lineup for the 12th annual European Union Film Festival, which kicked off Friday at the Gene Siskel Film Center in Chicago.

The fest, which opened with I’m All Good (photo, above), from the Czech Republic, offers 59 feature films, all Windy City premieres, representing all 27 EU nations. Among the major filmmakers represented — Nicholas Roeg, Francois Ozon, Peter Greenaway, and Agnes Varda.
